It’s official 🎉 we have hit our ONE MILLION DOLLAR Goal for Camp Hope, PTSD Foundation of America.

Hitting our million dollar goal is a milestone in our commitment to supporting and impacting the lives of our Veterans. As Russell has said, “this partnership is about serving those who have served us and being another platform to help bring awareness about PTSD that affects our military men & women.” One of our Core Values is “Reinvesting in our Local Communities” and we are so humbly honored to be able to give back to our Veterans and friends at Camp Hope through Tex-Mex.

This goal, and donation, would not have been possible without YOU, our loyal guests. From your support in numerous events to ordering the Plato Soldado — a combination plate on our menu, where a $2 donation goes directly to Camp Hope with every plate ordered. You have helped make a difference. We are eternally grateful to each and every one of you…THANK YOU! Now….on to $2 Million we go!

Glimpse into the Partnership

In 2014, our Master Enchilada Roller, Russell Ybarra was asked to join the Board of Directors for Camp Hope by KTRH Radio Host, Michael Berry. From that day, the rest is history. With Russell’s love for his country, military and veterans, the idea to get behind and support Camp Hope was a no brainer. Since then, Gringo’s & Jimmy Changas has supported Camp Hope in many ways. To name a few, Gringo’s & Jimmy Changas have hosted events such as Pull Ups for a Purpose and Every Queso Counts, to funding Home for Heroes — extra housing for veterans & their families to stay on the premises at no cost while coping with PTSD. We helped build an on-site gym known as The Jonathan Kim Gym with state of the art gym equipment making it easier for veterans to workout and maintain not only their mental health but physical as well.
