How to qualify for the program?
- Complete a GC Fundraiser Request Form (page 2) and submit to us via fax or e-mail.
- We’ll contact you regarding the time frame for your fundraiser and begin printing your GCs.
- Sell! Sell! Sell! Approach everyone you know (and even those you don’t) and sell them Gringo’s gift certificates.
- With each certificate sold, ½ the face value is going directly toward your organization
Who Qualifies?
Any organization with a Tax I.D. number and recognized by the government as a non-profit organization (or authorized group). An organization that is recognized by the government as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. For more information about 501(c)(3) tax status, please visit www.irs.gov. To find out if your organization has this status, please contact your organization directly, or, search for your organization’s specific name at www.irs.gov in the “Charities and Non-Profits” section. You can also call IRS Customer Service at 1.877.829.5500 and provide your tax identification number and organization name

- Soccer Clubs
- Teams in Training
- Church Groups
- Booster Clubs
- Parent Teacher Organizations
- High School Sports Teams
- Girl and/or Boy Scouts
- Little League Teams
- School Bands
How does it work?
Gringo’s will print gift certificates with your organization’s specific information. Expiration will be 6-8 weeks from the date issued. You will pay ½ the face value upon picking up your certificates. Members of your organization go out into the community to sell the certificates at face value. A maximum of $1,000 worth will be printed at a time. Gift Certificate Fundraisers are offered February 1 st – October 31st.
When can we begin our fundraiser?
We try not to bombard the community with too many gift certificates at one time. We will review your request and determine the time frame for your fundraiser based upon the number of gift certificates already in circulation in your area.
GC Restrictions/Limitations
Since this is a fundraiser, the gift certificates will expire 6-8 weeks from the date issued and have no cash value (i.e. certificates must be redeemed in full – no change will be given). Gift certificates must be redeemed in full and may not be used towards the purchase of Gringo’s gift cards. Expiration dates are strictly enforced and no exceptions or exchanges of certificates will be made.

How can I change the time frame of my fundraiser?
Fundraisers are issued on a first come first serve basis. You may change or postpone the start of your fundraiser based upon availability by contacting our corporate office at 281.470.7900.
Can we do more than $1,000 worth of gift certificates?
We do our best to give all requesting organizations the opportunity to participate in the GC Fundraiser Program. In order to ‘spread the wealth’, we limit the amount of GCs sold at a time to each organization to $1,000. Given the amount of requests in a particular area in the requested time frame, we may grant organizations back to back fundraisers.
How do I cancel my fundraiser?
You may cancel your fundraiser with at least 72 hours notice of the date scheduled for pick up by contacting our corporate office at 281.470.7900. We hope you will visit us again for your future fundraising efforts.
