December is always one of my favorite months of the year. It’s a great time to reflect on what our company has accomplished over the past eleven months as well as plan for a continued prosperous future.

One of the reasons why I especially enjoy the month of December is because I get to play Santa Claus with my fellow team players. For the past 13 years, our company has been able to pass out a Christmas gift to each and every Gringo’s employee. The value of the gift is dependent upon the number of years the individual has worked at our company. Our entire management team really gets excited because December is also the month we pass out their year-end bonuses.

Besides the ability to hand out 800+ Christmas gifts and over 50 year-end bonuses, one of the factors I use to determine if our company is on solid ground is whether or not we are able to pay all of our property taxes before the end of the year, as well as maintain current status with all of our vendors.

The reason these things are so important to me is because by operating on a solid financial ground, we’re able to go forward and make the right decisions pertaining to every area of operations. Whether it’s making a necessary repair or maintenance decision, continuing to use quality ingredients despite cost increases, giving raises to well deserved team members, or supporting the community, we are able to do so with a much clearer thought process knowing that all is well in the financial area of our company.

I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Thank you for helping make Gringo’s the company I’ve always dreamed of running.
